How to Protect your Social Networks Account?


Hacking. Sounds worst for many. This is the way where accounts have been steal. Passwords and delicate information leaked. Nowadays, lot of hackers gain social network accounts to earn money, to revenge, to socially destroy a person's name, spy, spam and send viruses to destroy internet properties.

Today we will give some tips to protect your accounts on Facebook.

  1. Never entrust confidential information to any person.
  2. Don't ask anyone to create you an account.
  3. Make your profile private and accessible only by your friends. Change it in Privacy setting.
  4. Never tag photo or anything to a person you don't know. Vice versa. Don't permit anyone to tag you in a photo if you don't even know who is the tagger.
  5. Don't write your password on a sticky notes or notes. Once you peek and peek, hackers might find this obviously.
  6. Always make your posts accessible only for friends. (Not friends of friends nor Public). Change it on Privacy setting.
  7. All information about you (eg.birthday, address, hometown, email, contact no.) must be for friends accessibility only.
  8. Create a strong password combination. See password tips here.
  9. If you are using internet on a shop or friends PC or laptop. Once you are logging in, you see a pop ops on the top-left of the browser asking if you will remember your password. Never click on Remember password. Just ignore it or close it.
  10. After closing your account or after browsing the internet, clean your browser's history. (CTRL+ALT+DEL)
