Social Sites, What are they?

Are you not aware of different social sites or are you a social site addict? Why do we need to know the different social site for these days? Simply because we need to know how to use them efficiently for this Cyber Age. Now we'll discuss different social site and their main goal.

By the way, what are social networking site?
Social networking sites are internet websites that gives you entertainment, communication and social-interests. Entertainment by any means of media like music or videos. Communication, when you chat with your friends or family who are away from you. Social-interests are those hobbies or posts you share or customize, the people you want to add, the things you like and more.

         Friendster

Friendster was founded on 2002, by an American programmer, Jonathan Abrams. It is one of the most awesome social-networking site ever-created. Before, it was designed to let users to add friends, customize profile, chat, share medias and became a dating site. Now it was redesigned as a gaming-site. Still popular in South Easth Asian countries. 

        Youtube

 A video-sharing site. It was founded on 2005 by Steve Chen, Jawed Karim and Chad Hurley. Youtube let you create account, upload your videos, view it and share. Google has acquired Youtube on 2006.

      Facebook

Facebook is the most visited social-networking site. Was founded by Mark Zuckerberg on 2004. Facebook user can add friends, customize profile, chat, play games, upload images and videos, update status (wall post), create page and group. Different media uses Facebook to update their news, products, movies, music and many more.

     Twitter

 Founded by Jack Dorsey on 2006. It is a micro-blogging tool which you can update your status up to 140 characters. Any updates you post are called "tweets". Post that is popular to many became trending. Trending means when lot of users tweet about particular thing with a hashtag of the maintopic. (e.g. Nice gonna check #tweaksmachine).

    Myspace

Myspace was founded year 2003. Users called their post as bulletin.

   

 Soundcloud

 

 Established the year 2007. It is a social site for music artist which allows them to record their music, upload their music, embed and share to others. Soundcloud users can enables you to download their music.
